The
hairdressing industry’s greatest income producing tool is hair coloring for
the simple reason that a colorist can spend five minutes on a color service
because of it’s simplicity or four hours on a color correction for it’s
complexity. The color correction course is designed to take the fear out of
color correction and also to give the participant the confidence to achieve
their desired result through the methods and techniques that we teach. With this in mind, we are able to generate
a great deal more income because of the special skills that effective color
correction requires. The color
correction class is divided into two parts. The morning session is the theory
portion and can be taken alone for four credits toward a stylist’s continuing
education requirement. The afternoon session must be preceded by the morning
theory session and offers an additional four credits toward the stylist’s
education requirement. The “hands on” afternoon session uses the theory
charts and problem solving techniques learned in the morning. session.
Participants will use the step by step processes to correct their mannequins
which will require four color correction formulations. The instructor will pair two participants
and give them a level and tone to achieve as a target color for their
mannequin. Printed
