Bren Anderson - Junior Stylist

I started doing hair because i've been an artist my entire life and when I really realized my passion for the fashion industry, I also realized hair was the most practical way to express my creativity while doing what I love.

Ive been working at Douglas Carroll for 2 years now and have really made a family here, my home away from home. My coworkers keep me energized. motivated, and inspired daily.

I studied hair at the Paul Mitchell Academy of Raleigh in 2008 before working here at DCS.

I get really excited to share what I know and what I am still learning everyday with my clients. Ivetravelled to the Goldwell Academy in Baltimore, MD twice for continuing education and additionally, have taken quite a few classes in this field, as well as the classes offered in the salon (Doug is a huge fan of education). I'm passionate on educating myself, so I can provide advice and education for my clients.

Personally, I was born and raised in Southern California in Orange County. I enjoy anything outside really - hiking, camping, running, but mainly rock climbing and bike riding. I also enjoy cooking vegan/vegetarian for myself and others and consciously try to live very healthy.

The artist inside me is always drawing, doodling, painting, and sketching, anything that comes into my head really that I want to put on a canvas or eventually in front of me. I love all aspects of creating.

I have two cats that i love: Raji & Turnip. They keep me busy most of the time in between all my other little projects. I also like read, mainly auto biographies and fashion literature/ magazines. I love staying in touch with my world, what's in style, and current events are very important to me.
